All of the processing methods of coffee: Washed, N All of the processing methods of coffee: Washed, Natural, Honey and Exotics, strat from here, when the cherry that contains the two coffee beans inside has been hand picked up.

If the drying process of the beans are inside the cherry, we are talking about a natural process. If the beans are taken out of the cherry, washed completely and then dry, it's a washed process. If the beans are taken out of the cherry but left in the pulp to be dried like that, it's the honey process. And finally, if they are left to ferment for some hours using other fruits or use any other processes different from the mentioned above, we are talking about fermentation processes.

Ever wondered why coffee sacks are designed the wa Ever wondered why coffee sacks are designed the way they are? When coffee is exported from its original location to the roasters, the green coffee beans are typically packed into burlap bags.

Green coffee beans are highly sensitive to moisture and require storage that allows air circulation. If the beans are packed too tightly, condensation will build up within the container and cause them to deteriorate and rot. At this stage in the process, the beans are essentially alive – so they need their breathing room! Since the green beans have a long travel ahead of them, the breathability of their vessel needs to remain consistent over a great period of time. That’s where burlap comes in.

Burlap is made from a natural vegetable fiber, called jute, that is loosely woven to create the perfect temporary home for our sensitive beans. But not only does burlap allow for necessary circulation and moisture control, the material is also durable enough to withstand the shipping process and strong enough to hold a whole lot of beans.

What are the reasons of importing/exporting green What are the reasons of importing/exporting green coffee beans instead of roasted coffee beans?
1. Green coffee beans have more longevity.
2. Buying in green gives you more visibility into the physical quality of the beans.
3. The roasting process is completely alligned with what you want to offer to your clients, which coffee brewing method you'll use and what type of drinks you'll prepare. But also, it is alligned with the beans you are using, depending on the bean there are some qualities you would like to highlight with the roasting process. So, even though you'll get the green coffee bean and roast them depeding on your demand, we would love to assist you or talk with your master coffee roaster to get the best out of each coffee origin.

We captured a photo of this coffee plant on Februa We captured a photo of this coffee plant on February 1st, this means the beans have been growing for a couple of months and they'll need a subsequent couple of months to be ripe and ready for the harvest season. The colors they go through are first green, then they start changing to yellow, orange and finally that beautiful red.
